Course Description

String Orchestra affords the student the opportunity to learn cooperation, responsibility and self-discipline through musical expression in a group activity.  String Orchestra is CPMA’s intermediate/advanced level orchestra and is designed for experienced music students with multiple years of orchestra experience. Admittance into the class and placement within the ensemble is at the discretion of the instructor and/or by audition.

Festivals, concerts, programs, and other outside obligations are a large part of the course and participation is mandatory. In addition, commitment to extra rehearsals outside the traditional academic day are required.
