Description of Course

Percussion Ensemble is designed to provide students with a well-rounded view of percussion music as a performer and as an audience, using curriculum guided by the California Music Standards. Students will study various musical styles and genres throughout the year. Assignments will include technique, theory, class participation, written tests, and performances.

Our Goals & Objectives

· Provide the opportunity for students to pursue a music education through the study of an instrument in a large ensemble setting

· Encourage student artistic expression, creativity, and achievement

· Instill a sense of discipline, dedication, professionalism, and responsibility as students strive to achieve individual and ensemble objectives
