UPDATE: This concert has now SOLD OUT. We will continue to look for fantastic opportunities like this in the coming months. CPMA students have an incredible opportunity this weekend - see the Israel Philharmonic, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel (new LA Philharmonic conductor, former mastermind behind Venezuela's youth orchestra phemnomenon known as the Sistema), for FREE! The La Jolla Music Society has been very generous in extending this opportunity to our music community. To request your free pair of tickets, call the La Jolla Music Society box office at 858.459.3728. A student ID will be required to pick up the tickets on the night of the concert. - When: Saturday, Novermber 22nd

Thank you to everyone who attended the first Music Boosters meeting! In the "Parent's Corner" of the website, there will soon be information relating to the music boosters (officers, meeting minutes, etc). Music booster meetings will be held the first Wednesday of each month, at 6:30pm, in Room 511. The next music booster meeting will take place on December 3rd - see you there! |

Welcome to the new CPMA Band & Orchestra site! Please use this site to help stay current on any and all things related to band and orchestra. There are a number of resources available via the site, including: a current music department calendar, a link to student grades (Parent Connect), recordings of current concert material, useful links, contact information, photos, documents, and more! Please, bookmark our site and visit us often! Music Boosters Meeting Please join us for our first music boosters meeting of the 2008-09 school year. The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 13th at 6:30, in room 511 (Ms. Soliz). Ms. Soliz, Mr. Ciavarelli, and myself are hoping that we can involve parents and other stakeholders in music activities, including: fundraising, event planning, public relations, communication, and more.
